our son accepts that he is having difficulty in motivating himself to do his school work. with AS’s later this year and A levels next this may be a problem.
we have discussed this at some length with him. he has agreed that it is a problem and we have mooted with him the possibility of using a life coat to help him work out what he wants to achieve and then to build the strategies in order to help him work towards his goals (whatever they might be)
to put this in perspective i suspect that Ben might want to be professional (like his father) though he has been put off by the long hours.
while he got 2 As at GCSE and 3 Bs 5 Cs and an F and is doing fine in class he struggles with any sort of work outside of school and in particular written work.
i believe that the right coach could help him considerably
is this the type of projects you would consider?
if so do you think that you have relevant experience that would help you to help Ben work out his goals, and then work towards them? how would fees work?

It is the sort of project I would consider, and I have experience of working with teenagers and their parents, and am the parent of a teenager myself.
I suggest that you and I schedule a telephone call before committing ourselves to any course of action, as I think there may be several options which could be effective in this situation and I would like to find out which would work best for you. There is no charge for that call.
